Redondo Beach Travel Guide

California is home to some of the best beaches in America. One of the most southern beach towns in Los Angeles is Redondo Beach and it's a perfect place to visit on a California Vacation! Here is a full travel guide for things to do and see.

LOCATION

Redondo Beach is located about 20 minutes south of LAX and is part of the South Bay communities like neighboring beach towns of Manhattan Beach and Palos Verdes. This is a much quieter beach compared to the busy Santa Monica beach to the north making it a great beach to visit.

THINGS TO DO

Redondo Beach Pier

Enjoy fresh seafood as you walk along the large boardwalk with perfect views of the Southern California Coastline. On a clear day you can see the Malibu Mountains and even Catalina Island.

Head to the Sand

Whether you are looking to just lay in the sun or catch some waves, Redondo Beach has something for all beach goers.

Waterfront Dining

You can catch a casual dining experience at one of the seafood markets service clam chowder, shrimp, lobster, etc. or one of the many other options on the pier. There is also some great restaurants like Kincaid's which offer great seafood and views for a more sit down experience.

King Harbor Marina

Just a little north is the marina where you will find tons of boats and sea lions. Grab a kayak, stand up paddle board, or boat and enjoy the best of the Pacific Ocean

Arts & Culture

Enjoy live performances, concerts, or the great shopping district where you can find boutiques and art galleries. Be sure to plan a trip around BeachLife Festival in May which features an awesome outdoor live concert right ton the beach!

HIKING

Head South to neighboring Palos Verdes Peninsula where you will find some amazing coastal hikes and can even get great views of downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood Sign, and large mountain ranges.

BIKING

Grab a bike or e-bike and ride along all of the amazing beach communities from Redondo to Malibu. Stop at Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica Beach for great dining and activities along the way.
