THE DESTINATION


The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is 20 miles north of San Diego. Del Mar is a small beach town known for its vibrant small community with pristine beaches, horse track, and home to an abundance of outdoor activities. THE PROPERTY


The Grand Del Mar is a massive resort that resides on a mind blowing 400 acre property. This resort looks like a European Palace and has thought of every detail from the meticulous landscaping to the small details in the guest rooms. This property is so well manicured and looked at with their amazing Staff that you can expect with a Fairmont Property. Every inch of this property exudes luxury and elegance.


The property looks very familiar if you've been to Southern Florida as it was designed by Addison Mizner best known for his iconic and world class Palm Beach and Boca Raton properties and shopping areas.


The resort is nestled inside a large canyon with tons of rolling hills perfect for a beautiful golf course or for going for a long walk or hike. The property looks massive but surprising only has 249 Rooms. With the large spacious rooms and ample private areas to enjoy the property, this property has a boutique vibe in a large resort atmosphere. The detailed water features, gardens, and fire pits surround the property making it a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful climate and landscape.




THE ROOMS


There are many different accommodations when booking on property. There are spacious Guest Rooms to upgraded Suites and even larger Luxury Villas.


The standard Fairmont Guest Rooms are anything but standard with their large European Deep Style Soaking Tub, separate Standing Glass Shower, King Size Bed, and large glass French Doors that overlook an immaculate view of the property.


For added luxury there are three different types of Suites which feature over 1000+ SF of space including large and separate living areas with dining tables, couches, and even a fireplace. You will find a largr wet bar in these rooms perfect for entertaining with friends or family. For larger groups you can even get the two or three bedroom suites for ultimate privacy and luxurious accommodations which include private outdoor space as well.






ACTIVITIES


There are so many different activities that are included with the cost of your resort booking. The Fairmont offers activities for everyone. The kids will love learning and mastering Archery or feeding the Rescue Horses at the stables. Adults can pamper themselves at their world class spa or on their 18 hole golf course. Of course, if you just want to sit by the pool and relax they have you covered with a kids pool, a main resort pool, and the Adult Only pool for extreme peace and tranquility.


The Gym is large and recently renovated and they have two beautiful tennis courts and pickle ball courts to enjoy your morning exercise. There are multiple hiking or walking trails around the property or you can elect to take an Electric Bike and ride around the property.





DINING


There are tons of great places to eat or drink on property from casual pool side dining to world class fine dining options.


Cent’ Anni Cafe is the quick stop go to destination for a coffee, pastry, or healthy morning breakfast. Enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner at their main restaurant Amaya which serves delicious food in a beautiful setting. And for extreme dining and luxury you can head to Addison, San Diego’s first Three Star Michelin Restaurant and features a world class dining experience.


On weekends they have the Grand Social out front which is the ultimate hang our area to enjoy and grab drinks and snacks. This is such a fun concept with bocce ball courts, cabanas, day beds, and fire pits for a fun happy hour or evening event. You will find live music here as well for an added bonus.


For your sweet tooth you can head over to their gelato shop by the pool or get a smores kit to enjoy with the many fire pits on property.

OVERALL IMPRESISON


The resort leaves only amazing impressions with a desire to come back and book another trip to this resort. The property stands out not only as one of the best in San Diego but in all of California. The world class amenities and the attention and service from their on site team is unmatched. This elegant and luxurious resort comes at a higher price point but is absolutely worth it for an unforgettable getaway.
