THE LOCATION

The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is located in the heart of Sonoma. Set out on an hour drive out of San Francisco via the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. You will drive on the 101 North through the beautiful Wine Country as you arrive in Sonoma.

THE PROPERTY

Fairmont Properties all feel individual and true to their destinations. This property has beautiful resort grounds with even more beautiful and exquisite interiors.

There are three pools on property each heated year round for the perfect and relaxing setting for you to enjoy. The pools all have beautiful lounge chairs and cabanas as well for the perfect pool day. In addition to the pools and spas, there are Geothermal Mineral Springs and Hot Springs for the ultimate wellness retreat. Additionally, you can book a world class spa day for ultimate relaxation with one of their signature treatments.

The landscape at the resort features water fountain features and tons of quiet areas to relax and enjoy their extremely well manicured outdoor areas. Most resorts have a pool and some siting areas but this resort features tons of space and areas to enjoy the outdoors.

Five minutes from the rest is a private golf club available to hotel guests. The Golf Club was founded in the 1920s and has a historic architecture and layout on their 177 acres of land.

The resort is just minutes away from amazing hikes, sights, and of course some of the world's finest wineries.

THE ROOMS

There is a wide variety of accommodations you can choose when booking a stay at the Fairmont Sonoma. Whether you book a standard guest room or a suite, all of the rooms have luxurious and elegant designs. From private balconies or patios to the large oversized bathrooms, the rooms at the Fairmont are a true delight.

The Standard Guest Rooms feature sophisticated but comfortable furniture and design. You can even upgrade to a larger Deluxe Room that even has a fireplace inside for a perfect romantic setting.

The upgraded suites are worth it as they feature separate bedroom and living areas providing more space on your stay. My favorite part about the suites is there huge bathrooms featuring their oversized jacuzzi tubs.

The rooms on the ground level feature large private patios for you to walk out and enjoy the property and views just outside your bedroom.

DINING

Foodies can rejoice at the Fairmont Sonoma as there are tons of different options on property from casual to fine dining.

The 38º North Lounge is the go to casual dining location on the property and a perfect place to enjoy food and wine pairings. You can enjoy a perfect day by the pool and indulge at the Water Tower Bar that offers refreshing cocktails and light bites. CaliForno is a seasonally inspired street eat food truck for a fun and casual experience. And for fine dining, Sante is the home for an unforgettable Michelin Starred dining experience.

ACTIVITIES

There are tons of activities to choose from on property and nearby in Sonoma. Go to a wine pairing dinner, enjoy live music on the lawn, visit the geothermal pools, hike or bike the great outdoors, or visit a local winery! One of my favorite things on property is the Champagne Bar which makes for a refreshing and fun way to start the evening !

OVERALL IMPRESSION

I love a Fairmont Property and the Fairmont Sonoma is one of my favorites. The resort is extremely elegant and has everything you would want in a luxury 5 star resort. Whether you are looking for a great accommodation to stay while visiting Wine Country or a resort where you don't need to leave the property, the Fairmont Sonoma is a perfect resort for your next trip.
