I was recently lucky enough to have stayed at the amazing Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa and let me tell you it was fantastic! I had a fabulous meal at the Antlers Lodge, soaked in some beauty at their gorgeous spa, and just took some time to enjoy the beauty of the grounds. I have already done a giveaway to Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa quite a while back, but some places are just worth revisiting! And I want to give all you who weren’t as lucky as Annette (our winner last time) a chance to experience this beautiful place for yourself. So, this weeks giveaway is too… can you guess…lol? Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa has a New Year’s event that will make everyone in the family celebrate. The event kicks off on Friday, December 30 with a Radio Disney Ballroom Bash, re-opening of the UNDERground – Teen Hangout and expanding their “Under the Big Top” carnival; all in an effort to help families find a one-stop-shop for ringing in the New Year.

“Our New Year’s Celebration is the signature event of our resort. You will not find a better place than Hyatt Regency Hill Country to celebrate the beginning of a new year,” resort general manager, Gino Caliendo said.

The hotel is making it easy to enjoy all the fun, by offering a New Year’s Eve Family Package that includes a smokehouse barbecue dinner for 2 adults and 2 children, access to the “Under the Big Top” carnival; family barn dance, with live music from the Ronnie T Band, and New Year’s Day breakfast buffet.

Everything kicks-off on Friday, December 30th, with the hotels’ first ever “Radio Disney Ballroom Bash.” Taking place in the hotel’s Fredericksburg Ballroom, this event will host a live Radio Disney DJ, playing all the top Radio Disney hits, in a family-friendly environment.

A large dance floor will be laid and lights will be flashing, and a club-like lounge will be created. Contests, dance-offs and other fun activities are all a part of the evening. There will be healthy snack options for kids, a photo area and tons of Disney-themed giveaways.

Hyatt Hill Country is also relaunching the UNDERground – Teen Hangout. UNDERground 2.0, has been designed with a multi-room layout, each room having a unique theme. The “Futuristic Club Room,” will feature a live DJ spinning dance and Top 40 music. A glow-in-the-dark oxygen bar will be set up on December 31st, featuring delicious “flavors/scents!” Is your teen a Twi-hard? Then they’ll love the “Teen Movie Mayhem Room,” streaming teen movie favorites like the Twilight Saga and Harry Potter series in a large, theater-like setting. Is your teen a Halo or Call Of Duty addict? The “Tournament of Games Room,” will feature a head-to-head, bracket-style competition that will reveal the King or Queen of Hill Country gamers. Finally, the “Adventure Arcade Room” features classic tabletop games like pool, air hockey, ping-pong and even mini-basketball.

Everything culminates with the “Under the Big Top Carnival” held in the hotel’s climate-controlled RW Pavilion. This year the hotel has added some fun new elements to the celebration, including “Pop Noggins” and a virtual-reality ride simulator. “Pop Noggins” utilizes green-screen technology and puts you in and your family in the spotlight of your very own animated “music video.” Up to 6 people can participate, featuring an extensive list of classic and new hits! The virtual-reality ride simulator incorporates all the dips, turns and thrills that you could experience on a roller coaster, all without leaving the ground. The carnival also feature fun prize booths, delicious “carnival-themed” food and even balloon-animal makers and stilt-walkers, all adding to the “Under the Big Top” theme!

Of course, the night is not complete without Champagne and cider toast as the countdown is broadcast on a giant screen, ensuring the perfect night to ring in 2012.
